I'm interested in stay at a Disney hotel from 4/16-4/19 but want to buy 4 day tickets that begin 4/14. WHat's the best way to do this? Buy them separately?

Hi there, Maria! Welcome to planDisney!

How exciting to be planning your next Walt Disney World Resort vacation! Your incredible adventure has only just begun, so let's get you on your way, shall we?

When booking a Walt Disney World Resort vacation package, the start date of your theme park tickets would line up with your Disney Resorts Collection hotel check-in date. However, you do not have to use all of the days of your ticket consecutively, and the ticket is valid for seven days from the start date. So, in this case, at the time of booking, your tickets will read as "Valid any four days from April 16th, 2022, through April 22nd, 2022."

I do see that you would like to visit the parks for a few days before checking into your hotel. So, I am happy to say that once your vacation package is booked, you can easily adjust the start date of your tickets to begin on April 14th using your My Disney Experience app. All you'll need to do is follow these simple steps:

    • Log into your My Disney Experience app.
    • Open up the menu by clicking the three horizontal lines in the bottom right corner, and click on "Tickets and Passes."
    • From there, select the ticket you would like to update, and you will see the option to change your ticket.

Then, simply follow the prompts to change your ticket date range to April 14th, 2022, through April 20th, 2022, and you are all set!

Maria, don't forget to make your Park Pass Reservations once your theme park tickets are purchased. A reservation is required to enter the first park you plan to visit each day. Since you have made the fantastic choice to add the park hopper option to your ticket, you will be able to hop over to any other theme park after 2 p.m. each afternoon. I took a look at the theme park reservation availability calendar for you, and as of right now, it does look like all four parks are available during your vacation. However, some parks do get booked up, so I recommend making your Park Pass Reservations as early as possible. I would hate for you not to be able to visit all the parks on your bucket list!

I hope I have been helpful to you today, Maria! I know there is a lot to consider as you plan your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, so don't forget that your trusty planDisney Panelists are here to help you every step of the way.
