Hello there, Marco!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney again. For the first time in forever, the
“Happily Ever After” fireworks spectacular will be returning on April 3, 2023- just in time for your vacation. My favorite way to experience the Magic Kingdom Park fireworks is the
Fireworks Dessert Party: Post-Party. I like that you don’t feel rushed when you’re eating your desserts after watching the nighttime spectacular, and you get such a perfect view of the fireworks.
Now, mark your calendar because beginning March 23, 2023, you can start booking your fireworks dessert party if you are 60 days out from your vacation. For the post-party, I recommend checking in at the Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant approximately 60 minutes prior to the start of Happily Ever After fireworks. A Cast Member will escort you to a prime standing area in the Plaza Garden. Here’s a pro tip: I like to bring an extra poncho to layout like a blanket to sit on the grass while I wait for the fireworks to begin, just in case the ground is a bit wet. You can sit while you wait, but note that the fireworks viewing area is standing-room only.
After you’ve turned to pixie dust watching the fireworks, a Cast Member will whisk you away to Tomorrowland Terrace. I don’t recommend doing an attraction directly in between the fireworks and the dessert party because you’ll find that there is quite a bit of foot traffic after the fireworks, and the Cast Members help escort you efficiently to Tomorrowland Terrace. I think you’ll see that many people leave the theme park directly after the fireworks. Hours are subject to change, so I would confirm with a Cast Member what the length of the dessert party is and if you can slip away from an attraction; however, I remember in the past indulging in a beverage and a sweet treat, stepping away from the dessert portion of the post-party to hop on
Seven Dwarf Mine Train, and returning to the dessert party for one last treat. Again, hours are subject to change, but I recall having about an hour total at the dessert portion of the party.
I wouldn’t eat a heavy dinner that day because you can certainly fill up on desserts, cheeses, and beverages at the party.
May the magic be with you!Melanie
