Hi Thomas and welcome to planDisney!
I just love living in the Sunshine State because that means I get to visit Walt Disney World as often as possible! We love to pop by on the weekends for a few hours, grab a bite to eat, ride a few attractions and then head back home. The freedom to visit whenever we would like is so magical and I love creating more Disney memories with my husband and children.
In order to qualify for the Florida resident
Disney Pixie Dust Pass, you must provide
valid proof of residency. This can be done in several ways, but the easiest is with a government issued ID. If your step-daughter and her fiance don't have Florida IDs, they will each need to provide alternate proof of residency like:
- Proof of Current Mortgage
- Current homeowner's insurance policy or bill
- Current Utility bill (power / phone / cable / water)
- Mail from financial institutions, including checking, savings or investment account statements
- Mail from federal, state, county or city government agencies
If they are providing documentation proof from the above options, it will need to be in their names and they must show a valid ID that matches. You do not need to purchase a pass for yourself. If they cannot provide proof of residency by any of the options, you will not be able to purchase the Florida resident passes for them.
The
Disney Parks Blog just announced this morning that all types of Walt Disney World annual passes will be available for purchase again starting on April 20th. If you are interested in a higher level pass with less blockout dates, especially on weekends, this will be your chance to buy them. They will be limited in quantity, so if this is something you or your family might like, be ready to purchase them on the 20th because we don't know how long they will be for sale.
Please stop back by and visit if you have any additional vacation planning questions.
Have a magical day!
Leslie
