Hi, Alejandro! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!
As the mom of a child with special needs, I'm very thankful that
Walt Disney World Resort is so accommodating to Guests with disabilities. I'm so sorry to hear about your injury but rest assured, you'll still have a magical time visiting the Walt Disney World theme parks.
Disability Access Service (DAS) is an accommodation intended for Guests who, due to a disability, cannot wait in a traditional queue environment. Many times, if a Guest's needs are strictly
mobility-related, the Disability Services Cast Members will suggest
renting a wheelchair or ECV rather than registering for DAS. Most
attraction queues allow Guests to remain in their wheelchairs or ECVs while waiting in line.
Since everyone's specific needs are different, I would recommend that you reach out to the Disability Services Cast Members. Their contact information can be found on the
Services for Guests with Disabilities webpage. You can discuss your unique situation with the Disability Services Cast Members, and together, you'll be able to find the best accommodations to help you enjoy your visit to the theme parks.
Wishing you a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
Samantha
