I'm interested in buying extra days and upgrading to the no-expiration ticket. Can we buy a 10-day ticket, use 6 days, and then upgrade to the no-expiration and pay the extra charge for only the 4 days left on the ticket or will we have to pay for all 10?

Hi, Ashlee!   As long as there is at least one day left on your ticket, you are able to upgrade it.  However, if you add the no-expiration option, this applies to all 10 days, not just what is remaining on your ticket.   It would be a huge cost savings to do it your way, but unfortunately, that is not how the ticket system works!

Also, to upgrade your base ticket, you would have to do so within 14 days of its first use otherwise the ticket expires and has no value.  So if you want to upgrade, do so before you leave Disney - do not wait until your next trip.

If you decide to upgrade to the no expiration and use the tickets for your next vacation, make sure to put them in a safe place when you get home so you do not misplace them.  Mark the tickets with how many days are left on them.   It is amazing how quickly I forget what is left on my unused tickets!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
