I’m interested in buying the CA resident park hopper ticket offer, but I’m wanting to know if Jan 1 will be a blackout day. Also, is there a chance that there will no longer be any reservations for that day if we wait till Dec 3 to buy our tickets?

Hi Melissa! Welcome to planDisney! Thanks so much for sending us your question!

Kicking off the new year at The Happiest Place on Earth sounds like the perfect New Year's resolution! The California Resident 3-day Park Hopper Ticket Offer is a great way to save while looking forward to three magical days at Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. For this ticket offer, you can purchase tickets beginning on December 3rd, provided you are a resident living in one of the eligible zip codes, 90000-96199. You must provide proof of eligible residency, including a valid government-issued photo ID, for both purchase and admission.

According to the details of the offer, you can visit three times from January 1 through May 21, 2026. Because January 1st is included in the dates you can visit, it should not be blocked out; however, dates are subject to Theme Park Reservation Availability, which is not guaranteed. If you want to reserve January 1st, I recommend purchasing your ticket as soon as they are available on December 3rd and making your Theme Park Reservation immediately.

The Holidays are always a great time to visit the Disneyland Resort! As you're planning your visit, be sure to check out the Holiday Guide from Disney Parks Blog. If you have more planning questions before you arrive, please feel free to send them to us at planDisney. We're all ears, and we would love to help!

    Wishing you magic,
    Lisa
