Hello, Andrea! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question.
I've been an
Annual Passholder for several years now, Andrea and it's one of the best decisions I've ever made. Having the flexibility to visit the Walt Disney World Theme Parks anytime throughout the year is a lot of fun! Plus, all of the perks that come along with the program make it worth the initial investment. Some of my favorite perks are complimentary theme park parking, the use of the
Memory Maker for the full year and all the discounts on food and merchandise.
At this time, Andrea, the sale of new Annual Passes for Walt Disney World has been temporarily suspended. This happened when the Walt Disney World Theme Parks reopened last year and it has still not returned to the general public yet. I don't think the program is going anywhere though because Guests who are current Annual Passholders with a pass that is about to expire are being allowed to renew at this time. When an announcement is made in regards to the Annual Passes we will be able to find all of that information over on the
Disney Parks Blog.
Until then, you currently have
two options for tickets to the Walt Disney World Theme Parks. You can purchase a standard Walt Disney World Theme Park ticket which allows entry into one theme park per day or you can purchase a park hopper ticket that allows you to enter multiple Walt Disney World Theme Parks each day. In addition to your theme park tickets, you'll also need to make park pass reservations. This is basically like a virtual placeholder in line for the day you'd like to visit. If you choose the park hopper option, you only need to make park pass reservations for the first theme park you'd like to visit each day.
Andrea, I have my fingers crossed that you'll be able to join the Annual Passholder family very soon. If you have any other questions about becoming an Annual Passholder or anything else, please feel free to come back and
ask me.
