Hello, I'm inquiring if anything has changed with your pet policy at your Disney World resort hotels. Specifically are cats still not allowed. I was hoping to travel with my therapy cat this year. Thank you

Hiya, Jason. Thanks for stopping by planDisney!

Walt Disney World Resort allows emotional support animals, comfort animals, and pets; however, the only ones currently permitted at the pet-friendly Walt Disney World Resort hotels are dogs. Dogs are allowed at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney Port Orleans Resort – Riverside, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, and The Cabins at Fort Wilderness Resort. Unfortunately, Jason, this means that your therapy cat cannot join you at any Disney Resort Collection Hotels. I am sorry - I know that might be disappointing.

Jason, if you must travel with your feline friend, did you know about the Best Friends Pet Hotel at Walt Disney World? It accepts cats for day and overnight boarding. With Tuna on a Ritz, a Deluxe Kitty Bed, and lots of playtime your cat would be happy staying there!

I know this might not be what you hoped to hear but I hope you still have a purr-fect visit to Walt Disney World! Please visit us again with any other questions you may have. No kitten - we are happy to help!

    See ya real soon,
    Melissa
