Little girls with Rapunzel

    Hi ! I’m on a hunt to find Rapunzel and Flynn Rider for my April 2024 trip. I think I found them at Trattoria Al Forno on the boardwalk. From Epcot with 2 toddlers and double stroller- what would a walk be like? How long? Is there a quicker option?

    Welcome to planDisney! Now is the perfect time to start planning for your Walt Disney World vacation. Before you know it, you'll be arriving for a magical stay!

    I have some good news and not-so-good news to share with you, Tara. While Princess Rapunzel and Flynn Ryder were once a part of the character breakfast at Trattoria al Forno, currently this experience is unavailable. The dining location is still serving breakfast, but they will not be gracing Guests with their presence. However, the website does state "Character Dining is currently not available at this location," which leads me to believe that it's only a matter of time before it returns. With your visit still some time away, there may be a good chance that they return in time for your stay. I suggest following along with the Disney Parks Blog for any news and announcements.

    If you do find yourself dining at this location, getting here from EPCOT is a breeze. I have two little ones of my own and still use a stroller most of the time. If you exit out of the International Gateway entrance, hang a left when you get to the bridge and follow the path around Disney's Boardwalk to Trattoria al Forno. Once you exit the park, the walk only takes about 5-7 minutes.

    If you are set on seeing these characters, your best bet will be on your Magic Kingdom day. Princess Rapunzel and Flynn Ryder appear in the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade which takes place daily each afternoon. While you may not be able to meet them, you may get a wave from them on the floats as they go by. Another potential place to meet Princess Rapunzel is at Princess Fairytale Hall. Princess Tiana has a meet and greet here and is accompanied by a visiting princess. I've noticed many times that this ends up being Princess Rapunzel, although there is a chance it may be someone else. You can always check the My Disney Experience App on your park day or ask the Cast Member at the front of the line.
