Hiya Christine!
Welcome to planDisney! I had a chance a few weeks ago to enjoy
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind with my 6-year-old daughter. She had finally reached the necessary height of 42 inches and was able to join me! Now, it was still intense but she did great and she tells me that it "was a little scary but it was fun." She did say that she would ride it with me again so that's a big win!
I love using
Rider Switch with my kids as one kid is either too short or just too scared to ride a certain attraction while the other wants to ride. Unfortunately, the rules for Rider Switch state that one adult is to wait with the non-rider while the rest of the group experiences it. When you arrive to speak to a Cast Member about Rider Switch they will ask who is going to wait with your little one. I understand the desire to ride this amazing attraction but unless you have a second adult or she grows a bit I would not suggest it. There would be no one to watch her while you experience the attraction and I would not suggest leaving her alone. If anything, use this time to encourage more vegetable consumption as we all know it leads to taller kids. (I am joking as I am shameless in my efforts to get my kids to eat their dinner.)
I would not let this sour your trip as there are still plenty of experiences you can share with your little one in EPCOT.
Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana will be opening on October 16, 2023, and I hope you two get a chance to enjoy the serenity of water on this outdoor trail. For a little bit of a thrill with no height limitation, I would make sure to enjoy
Frozen Ever After and my daughter's favorite
Remy's Ratatouille Adventure! I would also suggest an interesting and pretty affordable backstage walking tour of the Land Pavilion.
Behind the Seeds is a special Enchanting Extra that you should check out. We are a
Living with the Land superfan family and I can't wait to try this experience together on our next trip. All guests must be at least 3 years old to participate and it is perfect for your future scientist.
I'm sorry that I don't have the news you wanted but I hope you still find a way to have a fabulous time with your little one. My daughter is one of my favorite people and now you've inspired me to try a mommy/daughter trip myself!
Let me know if you have any more questions as I'm glad to help!
Happy Planning!
