I'm hoping to go to Disney, orlando, summer of 2013 with my family. That's me, my husband and 4 children aged 5, 6, 10 and 12. I have never been in USA, and have no clue haw to start planning :/ Any tips o how to make it a fun, not too expensive vacation?

    Hi Linda,

How exciting that you are starting to think about planning your very first visit to Walt Disney World! I have absolutely no doubt that you will take away many magical memories which will last a lifetime.

If you are planning to visit in the summer of 2013, I would firstly recommend that you keep an eye on the Disney Deals which are offered to UK residents on the Walt Disney World website.

My family have been able to take advantage of Free Dining during our past two trips and I cannot tell you how much money this saves and better still, it is very straight forward to use. (Free dining has not yet been announced for 2013 but as it has been offered for the past few years, I would think that there is a good chance that it may be offered again)

Deciding where is the best place to stay is one of the first decisions that you need to make and is one that really depends on your preferences and budget. As a Disney Resort hotel Guest, you would benefit from extended theme park hours, complimentary transportation between Orlando International Airport and your Disney Resort hotel as well as use of the monorails, ferryboats and buses around the entire Walt Disney World Resort.

To help you with your planning further, I would recommend that you visit the My Holiday Planner website where you can watch a number of videos including my top tips which are aimed specifically at helping UK Guests plan their trips to Walt Disney World.

You will also be able to order a copy of the Little Big Book of Magic guidebook which contains pull out maps and insider tips to help you get the most from your trip as well as a Walt Disney Travel Company brochure and some other planning tools.

    Wishing you a magical holiday!
