I'm hoping to do my first Disney 5K sometime next year. I understand that it's not timed, but it still says you need to keep up the pace. If I can only run a 15 minute mile will I still have time to stop for photos with characters?

    Hi, Kelly!

Welcome to the wonderful world of runDisney! While the 5K races are untimed it is encouraged to train at the 15 minute mile pace to allow you time for those photo opportunities that will be available along the course. So please do not worry about not being allowed to finish the race.

In addition to the photo stops, there will be professional photographers along the course to catch you in action. Relax, enjoy yourself and every magical mile! I would also love to know which race you are considering.

I hope this helps to ease your mind, Kelly! And please do not hesitate to send me any additional questions you may have. I am here to help you understand what to expect.

Hope to hear from you soon!
