I’m hoping to book a wild Africa safari. Does it sell out fast? Are there times/days they don’t offer tours?

    Welcome back to planDisney, Pamela!

I'm so glad you stopped by again as you get ready for your next visit to Walt Disney World Resort.  It looks like you're almost at a big planning milestone - 60 days before your arrival!  If you're a Guest staying at a hotel in the Disney Resorts Collection, you can start making your advanced dining reservations and booking activities in the Enchanting Extras Collection for the entire length of your stay 60 days before your check-in date.  Let's take a closer look at the Wild Africa Trek and talk about what you need to know before your reservation window opens!

Pamela, the Wild Africa Trek at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park is a very popular choice. . .and for good reason!  As my panelist pals, Jenna and Donyell, shared on the Disney Parks Blog, this experience is sure to be an unforgettable adventure, complete with unique animal encounters and a selection of tasty snacks.  Since this is such a high-demand activity, I would recommend checking for reservations as soon as your window opens, as it often sells out.  While there may be occasional exceptions, you'll generally find this tour offered several times each day during regular park hours.

If you don't see your desired date and/or time available, you can always check back - especially as the date of your trip approaches.  The current tour policy allows Guests to cancel their reservation up to 24 hours before it starts, so more spots may open up closer to your visit if others change their plans.

planDisney Pro Tip - If you're staying at a Disney Resort hotel and can take advantage of your booking window being open for your entire length of stay 60 days before your check-in date, you may find more reservations available at the end of your trip as fewer Guests will have access to those extended dates.  It's a strategy I often use when I'm making popular dining reservations before our visits!

I hope this information has been helpful, Pamela, and that you have a wonderful time visiting Walt Disney World!  If you have any other questions, please stop by to see us again here at planDisney - we're all ears!

    Cheers!
    Kristi
