I'm holding off on purchasing our Dining Plan. Am I able to still make reservations without them or do I need it?

    Hi Ashley,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I have been known to plan our vacations around dining options, so I love your question.

You do not need to have a dining plan to make your Advance Dining Reservations. You may begin making dining reservations as soon as 180 days before your arrival date.

You will need to assign a credit card to your My Disney Experience account to hold your spot, but nothing will be charged to your card unless your reservation time passes and you do not use or cancel it. At this time, you may change or cancel dining reservations up to 24 hours in advance with no penalties. Be sure to check the cancellation policy during the reservation process for the most up-to-date information.

Whether you decide to add the dining plan or pay for your meals as you go, I hope you have a fantastic vacation. We'd be happy to answer any other questions you have.

    Happy planning!
