I'm hesitant to get tickets/reservations, as I'm concerned our flight may be delayed/cancelled. Then we won't get a refund. We are only there for one day. What are our chances of getting Tix for Epcot for walk-in on the same day?

Hey there Jean and welcome to planDisney!

There's nothing more unmagical than a canceled flight stopping you from getting to the Most Magical Place on Earth. I just had some friends experience the struggle when the airport shut down due to Tropical Storm Nicole. At the time of this answer, it looks like December 27th is still showing availability at EPCOT on the Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar. However, on that same day, Magic Kingdom Park and Disney's Hollywood Studios are already at capacity. My concern would be that EPCOT and Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park could join them as it is winter break for schools across the country. Keep checking that calendar and if it remains green, I'd buy my Theme Park Ticket via the My Disney Experience app as I was boarding that plane by tapping the icon at the bottom center of the screen. You'd then choose to Buy Tickets and Passes. Follow all prompts until that ticket is yours.

Pro-tip: Starting on December 8th, Guests purchasing a ticket for a single day at a single park will be prompted to purchase tickets to a specific park for that day so you'll automatically have a Theme Park Reservation

Jean, best wishes that your flight will be on time and your 1 Disney day will be the most magical day you've ever had. If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back for another chat!

    Happy planning!
