Hi Shannon ~
Don't you love spreading pixie dust by helping others plan their Disney trips?! It is always a great idea for a young family to take a break from the theme parks and there are so many
recreational activities to spend a fun filled day at Fort Wilderness. Here are some ideas:
*
Fort Wilderness Archery Experience. The Archery Guides are great with kids and adults. Guests must be at least 7 years old to participate. Reservations can be made 180 days in advance by calling 407-WDW-PLAY. Walk ups are welcome if space is available but class size is limited and it is not always held every day.
* At the Bike Barn (located behind the Meadow Trading Post), Guests can rent bikes, canoes, kayaks, and fishing or tennis equipment.
* Trail riding is available at the Tri-Circle-D Livery located near the Outpost Bus Depot. Reservations can be made by calling 407-WDW-PLAY.
* For little Mouseketeers, pony rides are available at the Tri-Circle-D Ranch near Pioneer Hall. There is a fee (cash only) for the pony rides but reservations are not necessary. They may even catch a glance of the small white ponies that pull Cinderella's Carriage.
* There are playgrounds near Pioneer Hall, the Meadow Recreation area, Creekside Meadow, and the Marina area. My boys loved playing in the sand near Bay Lake.
* There are two heated pools available. If they have kids, they will enjoy the Meadow Swimmin' Pool near the Meadow Trading Post that features a 67-foot-long corkscrew waterslide.
I'm limited in space but please let us know if you need ideas for the evening as well. We are hEAR for you!
Wishing your friends minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
