I’m helping a friend plan their Disney trip and they are active duty military. How do they get their military discount on tickets, and how much will the discount be? Thanks!

Hey there Haylee! Thanks so much for bringing us this great question to planDisney. I love that you are helping your friend plan a trip to The Happiest Place on Earth.

My husband is active duty U.S. Navy and we have taken advantage of the military discounts on tickets as often as we can. Since your friend is active duty, they qualify for Disney Military Promotional Tickets. These are very generously discounted tickets and your friend will need to go to a participating U.S. military base ticket office to purchase them. I suggest they call or check out their base ITT office's website. You can usually find a downloadable ticket price sheet that will give you the current ticket prices. A military member or spouse can purchase up to 6 of these tickets per promotional period. Please note that the military member or spouse must show I.D. and be present when activating these tickets for the first time at the park.

I wanted to let you know that Disneyland Resort Hotels also offer a military discount and you can call (877) 372-6820, to find out the discounted rates and availability.

Haylee, thanks again for stopping by planDisney and helping your friend out. Please let your friend know that we are thankful for their service!
