Hi Lillian,
Welcome to planDisney!
How nice of you to help this family with planning to visit the Walt Disney World® Resort! Looking at their arrival date, the countdown has begun. The husband should not need to create another My Disney Experience account. As long as his wife is connected to his
Disability Access Service (DAS), they should be able to ride together and she should be able to book DAS selections while in the theme parks using the
My Disney Experience Mobile App.
The DAS guidelines are changing, so be sure to read the
updated guidance. Given the timing of your trip, I suggest that you log on to try to register right at 30 days prior to arrival. If he is approved during the pre-arrival video-chat, he should be good to go for the trip. Prior to the pre-registration, I suggest that they have theme park tickets linked in My Disney Experience. And, be sure that they do not need to make
theme park reservations. If their tickets do require theme park reservations, I suggest that they make those asap.
As they continue to plan, also check to see if they have secure
advanced dining reservations. I always suggest these with guests using DAS because they have helped my family reduce time waiting in line for meals. Our girls use the mobile app to check us into dining reservations while walking to a restaurant as soon as we are within range to check-in. If you have not done so yet, also advise them to use
Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering.
Lillian, I am sure they are grateful for your assistance! I hope they are able to get pre-registered for DAS prior to arrival. Prior to arrival, I also suggest that they review all of the
Services for Guests with Disabilities. One final tip - they are arriving in time to catch the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. I hope they get a chance to stop by and enjoy some fun festival food and to see the adorable topiary displays. May their travels be safe and their visit magical!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
