I’m heading to Disneyland early October for the 70th celebration, and I was really hoping to catch the Paint the Night parade. I had read that it was running until November, but it’s not showing on the schedule. Is it really not happenning anymore?

Greetings, Ana Beatriz, and welcome to planDisney! Your Halloween Time trip is just around the corner – get ready for festive decorations, pumpkin-flavored treats, seasonal overlays of popular attractions, special entertainment, and more!

I love that Paint the Night is on your radar – it's one of my favorite nighttime shows, illuminating the parade route with more than one million LED lights. It's been announced that this parade, which returned as part of the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration, will continue through the Halloween season before taking a break during the holidays. I just took a peek at the Hours & Events Calendar for October and confirmed that there are two performances currently scheduled each night in early October. It might have just been that the calendar was still being updated when you last checked. I'd suggest looking again as your trip approaches to make sure nothing has changed.

Make sure to catch the Halloween Screams show during your visit – my family likes to watch it from the façade of "it's a small world." If you catch it on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, there are typically fireworks in addition to the projections! You should also make sure to experience Haunted Mansion Holiday, and visit Mickey and his pals in their seasonal outfits in Town Square. And when it's time to refuel, refer to the Halloween Foodie Guide to browse all the food and drink options.

Ana Beatriz, I hope you have a great time visiting the Disneyland Resort. If you have any other questions, please let us know. We're always happy to help here at planDisney!

    Wishing you magic,
