Hi! I’m heading to Disney next week. Disney takes pictures and links them to my band and my account automatically. I’m trying to figure out how much it cost to purchase a picture, if I want just one or two, without paying the 169$ for memory maker.

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Gabrielle!

Indeed, Memory Maker is a product offered by Disney PhotoPass® Service, which grants you unlimited access and downloads of ALL the digital content in your Disney account. Images are automatically uploaded to your My Disney Experience account with a simple touch of your MagicBand or card.

It is possible to purchase individual photos, and other Disney PhotoPass® Service products, without having to buy Memory Maker. However, since Disney PhotoPass® Photographers do such an incredibly job, you'll find it quite challenging to select just a few images. Below is the current pricing information for Disney PhotoPass® pictures.

    (a) Two 4X6 photos for $18.95
    (b) One 5X7 photo for $18.95
    (c) One 8x10 photo for $20.95

The above prices do not include taxes, nor the cost of shipping (for prints). However, with Memory Maker you will receive ALL the digital content captured via Disney PhotoPass® Service for a single price. This includes Attraction Videos, which are uploaded to your account almost instantly!

In my opinion, it's more economical to purchase Memory Maker. Currently, the cost of Memory Maker is $199.00 (when buying it at the parks for immediate use), or $169.00 if you purchase it in advance.

Disney Mom Tip: Ask Disney PhotoPass® Photographers about Magic Shots and Animated Magic Shots. These are photos where Disney Characters and other fun surprises appear.

I hope this information has been useful, Gabrielle. Please come back soon with more Disney vacation planning questions.

Wishing you a magical visit to Walt Disney World Resort!
