    I'm headed to Magic Kingdom and Epcot with a large party, including kids. Are there any good places to meet up at the parks if we get separated?

    Hi.

    There is nothing like a large Disney family vacation. It's a great idea to have a set central meeting place in the parks when traveling with a group, even if the group doesn't expect to separate during their visit. In fact, I recommend designating a central meeting place in the parks even if traveling with only one other person. It's possible some members of the party may spontaneously decide to ride a certain ride while other members of the party decide they want to shop and grab a quick bite to eat. Or one member of the party may get a sudden craving for a French pastry at Epcot's France Pavilion while the other members of the party ride Test Track. You never know when or how a party may get separated.

    For park meeting locations, my family usually picks a centralized landmark easily identifiable from a distance. At Magic Kingdom, our meeting place is behind Cinderella's Castle (the far side of the park entrance). I would avoid the bustling Main Street area. Space Mountain is also a well-known landmark easily spotted from afar, but it is not as centrally located. At Epcot, our family meeting place is behind the iconic Spaceship Earth (the far side of the main park entrance). Depending on how Disney park savvy your party may be, you can choose more out-of-the-way meet-up locations, such as the Rose Garden in the Magic Kingdom or the uncrowded Odyssey Center area at Epcot.

    As a backup plan, carry your cell phones in the parks and remember to exchange numbers with all of the members of your party. Every party member should also carry a map of the park, which is available at the park gate entrances. Inform any young children in your party to find the nearest cast member in case they get lost. It's also a good idea to teach any younger children in your party your cell phone number and the names of the party members. This information will come in handy to help Cast Members reunite a lost child with their party.
