Im headed to Disney World at the end of the year. I have a four day one park ticket. I want to do all the rides and see the shows. What’s the best way to do this?

Hey there, Sophia! Welcome to planDisney!

Is there anything better than planning a wonderful Walt Disney World vacation? OK, actually going on vacation is better, but I think the planning process is a close second. With four theme parks, two water parks, and so many dining and shopping options, the combination of magical experiences is almost endless!

In my experience, the best way to maximize your time at the Walt Disney World theme parks is to get there early. If you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you are likely able to take advantage of Early Entry, which allows guests to enter the theme parks 30 minutes before official opening to enjoy select rides. You can find the list of eligible hotels and attractions here. If you aren’t able to use Early Entry, then be sure to check the Hours and Events calendar for park and special event hours.

You may also want to consider purchasing Lighting Lane Passes to skip the standby lane for select attractions and experiences. Not only does this help you save time, but it also allows you to craft a more detailed trip plan and prioritize specific attractions. There are three types of Lightning Lane Passes to consider.

    - Lightning Lane Multi Pass:  Choose up to 3 multi pass experiences and arrival windows in a theme park

    - Lightning Lane Single Pass: Choose one of our most in-demand attractions (ones not available with multi pass)

    - Lightning Lane Premier Pass: Get one-time entry to each available Lightning Lane experience in one park for one day—including the most in-demand attractions.

It’s difficult to enjoy everything a Walt Disney World theme park has to offer in a single day, but these two things will certainly help you see and do as much as possible. I’d suggest browsing the list of attractions for each theme park and considering which things fall into the “must do” versus “would like to do” categories, and trying to create a park plan around the “must do” attractions.

I hope this info is helpful, Sophia, and you have a wonderful visit to Walt Disney World later this year. Don’t hesitate to send in any other vacation planning questions you may have. We’re always happy to help!

    Magical travels!
