Hello, Evelyn,
In the words of a certain silly old bear: "
Oh, bother." I'm sorry to hear you have been experiencing difficulty registering for the
Disability Access Service. I’d be happy to share with you some hints from what we have learned as we have registered for this blessing of a service available at the Disneyland Resort.
The
Disability Access Service (DAS) is available to Guests of the Disneyland Resort theme parks who may have difficulty tolerating a traditional queue. Eligibility for DAS is determined by meeting with a Guest Relations Cast Member either in person at the theme parks or virtually before heading to the Disneyland Resort. An in-person meeting at the parks is the easiest way. And it doesn’t really take very long at all, especially if you visit a
Guest Relations location that is less busy. It doesn’t have to be one of the main locations at the front of each park.
A virtual meeting to register for DAS may be done between two and 30 days before arrival. To do so, you must first have
theme park tickets purchased and linked to your Disneyland Resort account and
theme park reservations booked. (Park reservations are usually booked as part of the ticket purchase process.) If using a device that also has the
Disneyland mobile app installed, I’ve been told it’s important to log out of your account in the app and log in on the
Disneyland Resort website. Then, visit the
DAS registration page between the hours of 9 AM and 8 PM Pacific time. Click the “Terms & Conditions” button to start the process. After agreeing to the terms, return to the
registration page and click the “Request Live Chat” button. Follow the prompts to enter the virtual queue for registration. Demand is typically high, so I recommend setting aside a fair amount of time for the Guest registering for DAS to await their turn in the virtual queue.
I hope that helps with the DAS registration process, Evelyn. If there are any more questions we can help with, please don't hesitate to reach out to us here at planDisney again soon.
