I’m having trouble linking military Disney tickets to the app. Are we suppose to scratch off the silver sticker to get more numbers?

    Hi Jennifer! Welcome to planDisney.

On behalf of my own military family, and my fellow panelists, I would like to thank you for your service to our country. I'm so grateful for the fantastic discounts military families are offered at the Walt Disney World Resort, and I'm very happy to hear you're planning a visit.

It sounds like you have a plastic ticket card with a silver scratch-off area; the scratch-off conceals 4 digits of the number for security reasons. Gently scratch that off to reveal your full ticket number. Then enter the full number, including the numbers you just revealed, into My Disney Experience. The app will then prompt you to link the ticket to a Guest. Repeat those steps until each of your tickets is linked. You may also use the barcode scanner in the My Disney Experience mobile app to upload the ticket; I have found it doesn't always work smoothly on military tickets.

If you need any assistance linking your tickets, please call the My Disney Experience help desk at (407) 939-4357. The Cast Members there are always super helpful and will help ensure you're all set.

Once the tickets are linked, you will need to make Disney Park Pass reservations. There’s a great video on the website that walks through that easy process. Each Guest must have a Disney Park Pass reservation for each day they plan to enter a theme park, so it's important to do that as soon as you can as the parks have been reaching capacity for some days.

Did you know there is also a military discount on Memory Maker? My family always purchases Memory Maker, because it's a fun and easy way to collect and share our vacation photos. Stop at Disney PhotoPass photographers to pose for photos, capture attraction photos, and visit the Disney PhotoPass Studio for a fun photo shoot - it's all included in one discounted price. The details can be found at the bottom of the Military Promotional Theme Park Ticket offer webpage, and you may purchase the military-discounted Memory Maker in person when you arrive at the Walt Disney World Resort. Get ready to say "cheese!" - and don't forget to ask for magic shots.

Thank you for stopping by planDisney, Jennifer! We're here to help if you have any further questions as you plan and dream.

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
