Hi Kara,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question about my absolute favourite restaurant at Walt Disney World Resort,
California Grill. I haven’t had the chance to try brunch there yet, but it’s definitely on my Disney Dining “must do” list!
I’ve often found that reservations for brunch and other special dining events aren’t always released the moment that the 180-day
dining reservation window opens. I’d keep checking back for the next few weeks to see whether any availability has been released for your dining date.
If that doesn’t work and you don’t manage to snag a reservation in the coming weeks, don’t worry! I’ve often found that, because of the 24-hour cancellation policy that applies to most restaurants, availabilities often pop up the day before you wish to dine at a given location. I’d highly recommend checking for reservations especially in the days leading up to your visit. Although it may be tough to find availability during busier periods (such as the weeks around Christmas), checking frequently for cancellations would be your best bet, as they can pop up at any time.
I hope my answer helps you plan your upcoming visit. Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
