Ahoy there, Michael, and welcome back to planDisney! It sounds like you have a Spook-tacular sailing planned for this October, so I’m thrilled you decided to stop by with this question.
I believe you may be referring to the
Instagram video Disney Parks shared earlier this year, revealing an updated look for Jack Skellington and Sally. One of my favorite parts of a Disney Cruise is the
Character Greetings. This is even more true on a
Halloween on the High Seas cruise where your Disney pals are decked out in fun Halloween Costumes.
I
chatted with a Disney Cruise Line representative, and regrettably, they do not have information as to which characters will appear on board the ships. However, what I do know to be true is that when you arrive at the port, the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app will show all the character meet and greets offered for the length of your itinerary. Just be sure to download the free app before embarkation and then connect to the DCL-GUEST WiFi once onboard.
This time of year is one of the few times adults can dress up on the ships as well, as long as you follow
Disney’s costume guidelines. And if you have any young sailors traveling with you, consider booking an appointment at the
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.
But it won’t just be the characters and Guests onboard decked out for the holidays; the ship will be in her Halloween finest as well. If you read the
Disney Parks Blog for updates like I do, you may have even seen where they introduced us to Ginger, the Disney Treasure Pumpkin Tree. In fact, some of my favorite pictures to take at sea during this season are in the Grand Hall amongst all the decorations, including the jack-o'-lantern portholes.
While I wish I could have given you a more definite answer, Michael, I do know that you’re sure to have an incredible journey ahead. And if you think of any other questions before you set sail, I hope you’ll head back to us here at
planDisney!
Bon voyage,
Sami
