I’m a guest at fort wilderness cabins. Can I drive to and park at Crockett tavern?

    Howdy, Jacqueline!

Welcome to planDisney and thanks for trotting by with a wonderful Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question. Yee-haw! It sounds like you're currently on-site enjoying a stay at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. I hope your vacation is off to a rootin' tootin' start! Let's chat about your options for getting around the campground during your stay.

Jacqueline, I understand you're hoping to mosey over to Crockett's Tavern to wet your whistle during your stay at the Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. Crockett's Tavern is located at the Settlement near Pioneer Hall, an area that is off-limits to personal vehicles. Therefore, to access that area, you have several other options available to you:
    • Proceed to the bus stop nearest to your Wilderness Cabin and take the internal resort shuttle to the Settlement Depot. Then, walk to Crockett's Tavern from there.
    • Park your personal vehicle at the front entrance near the Outpost Depot. From there, board the internal resort shuttle and hop off at the Settlement Depot.
    • Rent a golf cart for use during your stay at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. While personal vehicles cannot be parked near Pioneer Hall, golf cart parking is available in this area. (But remember to operate the golf cart responsibly after visiting the tavern!)
    • Rent a bicycle from the Bike Barn (near the Meadow Recreation Area) for use during your stay. Bicycle parking is available near Pioneer Hall and Crockett's Tavern.
My family enjoyed a riveting evening at the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue recently, Jacqueline. If you haven't partaken in this delightful dinner show yet, I can't recommend it highly enough! You'll leave your meal stuffed with homestyle food favorites and your cheeks will be sore from all the smiles and laughter. We had so much fun we booked another meal there for our upcoming visit!

I hope you've found this information helpful, Jacqueline, and I wish you a magical and memorable stay at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. If you have any additional questions during your stay, you can always gallop on back to planDisney again. We're here to help you and your cowpokes make the most of your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

    Happy trails to you,

    Lauren
