Hiya Ashley and welcome to planDisney!
My upcoming visit to the Walt Disney World Resort and yours sound nearly identical. I have a September trip booked with a party of 10 spread out in three different rooms in three separate
Disney Resorts Collection hotels. Are you sure you're not one of my family members? Well, cousin, I'm happy to share with you what I learned about the
Family & Friends List and how it's going to make my life, and yours much easier on our vacations. Let's get into it!
The fact that y'all are in different rooms won't stop a thing if you're all linked via the Family & Friends List. All you'll need to do is open your
My Disney Experience app and tap the three-lined icon in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. You'll then tap the My Profile link and then Family & Friends List. From there you'll have the option to Add a Guest and can use a few different methods to do this. My personal favorite is by scanning their linking code. If you choose that option, all you'll need to do is tap the blue Scan Linking Code button and scan the QRCode from their app or manually enter the code they've been given. After that, y'all are all set to start making plans together. You'll be able to grab
Disney Genie+ Service and make
Lightning Lane selections for your family in no time. Even booking those boarding groups for those newer attractions like
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will be possible once you're all linked.
Ashley, I hope I've been of help to you today. Have the best time with your loved ones. If you happen to run into me at The Most Magical Place on Earth sometime, don't be afraid to say hi. And if you have any other questions, please feel free to
come back for another chat!
Happy planning!
Taylor
