Hello. I'm gifting someone a disneyland ticket. How can I go about transferring the ticket to them, and do I gift it with my name?

Hi Nancy! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney.

What a magical gift! I'd be thrilled to receive an admission ticket to the Disneyland Resort. Transferring a ticket is usually as simple as linking the ticket to the Guest's Disneyland Resort account, which they'll need to do themselves. I can walk you through how to do this, so you can pass along the information when you make a presentation of the ticket.

Your recipient will want to download the Disneyland mobile app. This will allow them to link the ticket to their account and be a handy tool in the parks during their visit. Once they've downloaded the app and signed into their account, linking is easy. Tap the three-bar menu at the bottom of the app. This will bring up a series of tiles. Tap "Tickets and Passes." On the next page, you can link the ticket by manually entering the ticket ID. The ticket ID can be found in the purchase confirmation e-mail.

Once the ticket is linked to their account, they can also modify their existing theme park reservation to any available day. There is a theme park reservation availability calendar, which helps select a day to visit. Popular days and parks can fill up.

If I made a gift of an admission ticket, I'd wrap a little box with the ticket ID on a piece of paper inside. If you're not going to be seeing your recipient in person, you could e-mail or text them the ID or forward them the original e-mail. I think however you make the presentation, whoever is lucky enough to receive your gift is going to be so happy!

    Have a magical day.
