I’m getting ready to book a trip to Disneyland . But if it’s raining while at the park can we reserve for another day if we have already entered the park or do we lose our money . I have a newborn and don’t want him to get sick due to rain .

Hello there, Zuleyda! Welcome to planDisney. We are so glad you've asked us a question.

I love to hear you are planning a visit to Disneyland Resort soon. How exciting! We are having quite a lot of rain lately. A rainy day at Disneyland can end up being quite a great day if you are up for the challenge. I've seen the wait times for attractions to be quite favorable the last few days. I understand the concern with bringing a newborn to the parks in this weather. Unfortunately, if you enter the park and it's raining or rains later in the day, you do not get your money back or a new ticket for a different day. I suggest paying close attention to the weather and making a decision ahead of time before you head to the parks. If you decide ahead of time, you can cancel your reservation for the day, but it's okay if you don't cancel and don't decide to visit on that day. Your ticket will still be valid through the expiration date and you can make a new reservation when you are ready to replan your visit.

When you do decide to visit with your baby, be sure to take advantage of the Baby Care Centers. These centers are a great place to take a break from the noise in the parks if you need a quiet place to feed the baby or change diapers.

Zuleyda, I hope you are able to figure out when a visit to the parks is best for you soon! I hope your baby's first visit to The Happiest Place on Earth is a magical one. Don't forget to grab a complimentary "First Visit" button from City Hall for the baby book!

Well hello there, friend! I'm Carrie, a work-from-home mom and military wife who currently calls sunny San Diego home. You'll find my family in the parks braving drops and coasters to work up our appetite to take as many snack breaks as we can. While Disneyland is our home away from home, we love trying to make a Walt Disney World Resort vacation happen at least once a year now too. All my friends know I'm the go-to for Disney advice, so I'm here to help you plan and experience the magic on your visit! Learn More About Carrie
