I'm getting married October 2018. Part of our honeymoon will be at WDW. I lover MNSSHP but not big crowds or 80+ weather. Trying to decide if going the last week of October is smart or just going in November. Please help! When is the right time to go?

    Hi Brandie,

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! Walt Disney World is a great place to spend your honeymoon. I suggest that you take a look at the Disney Honeymoon page for thoughts on planning this magical vacation.

I love a visit to Walt Disney World in the fall. The weather is still warm, but not as hot as it can be in the summer months. Less people tend to visit Walt Disney World in the fall as children are back in school. The average high temperature in Orlando in October is 85 degrees Fahrenheit, so I do not think it will be too hot for you, especially since you are thinking of going at the end of the month. There are always guests at Walt Disney World, but fall is a less crowded time of year. Overall, I think that you will find the end of October or beginning or middle of November to be fairly equal in crowds and weather. As you head to the end of November, crowds will likely pick up again around Thanksgiving.

Since you are considering attending Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, do keep an eye out for party dates as they are released. Last year, the final party was on October 31, which means that a trip in November would you have you missing this event.

Although dates have not yet been announced for 2018, keep an eye out for information on the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. This event celebrating international cuisine in an annual happening in the fall at Epcot and typically runs through mid-November. Taking a part of these festivities would be a great way to spend some of your honeymoon!

Please do let us know if you have any further questions, Brandie!
