Im getting married in October and we are going to Disneyworld for our honeymoon. I have never been and was wondering if you had any suggestions on some good places to eat with honeymooning (that also take the dining plans)?

    Hi Alyson,

Congratulations!  I'm sure you are going to be a beautiful bride, and Disney World is a great place to honeymoon!  There are tons of wonderful restaurants that accept the dining plan, although a lot of my favorites require 2 dining credits.  This is one time that I might suggest splurging for the Deluxe Dining Plan.  You'll be given 3 meal credits per night to use at either counter service or table service restaurants AND plenty of snack credits.  If you choose this plan, you'll be able to enjoy a signature restaurant every day, maybe throw in a character breakfast or two, and use snack credits to stave of any hunger throughout the day.

I recommend these restaurants that take 2 dining credits:  Jiko at Animal Kingdom Lodge, Flying Fish Cafe on the Boardwalk, Narcoosees and Citricos - both at the Grand Floridian, Brown Derby at Hollywood Studios, and California Grill (during the fireworks) at Contemporary.

If you choose to stick with the regular dining plan, there are some great options that only use one dining credit: Teppan Edo in Japan at Epcot, Kona Cafe at Polynesian, Boma & Sanaa at Animal Kingdom Lodge, Coral Reef at Epcot, and Restaurant Marrakesh at Epcot.

Character meals are also a fun option.  My husband and I honeymooned in Disney World.  We started every morning with a character breakfast, had a snack at lunch and splurged for a signature meal at dinner.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical honeymoon!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
