    I'm getting errors while updating a Magicband+. It's fully charged, and the app is updated (Android). I've turned off and on, and done a factory reset. Will run for 2min then gives a "something went wrong" error. Any ideas? Thanks!

    Welcome to planDisney! I'm glad you found us, and I'm sorry that you're having some tech issues with your MagicBand+ updates. I know that's a less-than-magical experience! I've got a few ideas for you to try, so let's see if we can get you updated!

    It's great that you've already charged up your MagicBand+ and checked to make sure your app is up to date. Turning something off and then on again is always one of my first tech solutions to try, too! It can be a little tricky to turn off the band, so make sure that you hold the power button down (it takes about 6 seconds) until the display light turns red and it vibrates twice. Then we know for sure that it's off! It looks like you've also held down the button on the back for 15 seconds to do a factory reset following the directions on the MagicBand+ Support page.

    You've done such a good job troubleshooting already that I needed to call in for some extra support! The Cast Member I spoke with shared that there is currently a known error with Android devices updating MagicBand+ that should be resolved with an update to the Disneyland Mobile App that will be released soon. So you're doing everything right, but this magic will take a little extra time! Make sure you've got your mobile apps set to update automatically, or keep an eye out for an app update, and then give updating your MagicBand+ another try.

    If you still have trouble after the app update, you can reach a Cast Member to help you by calling the Tickets phone number listed on the Help Center and selecting option 1! You can also try chatting with a Cast Member through the "Chat with Us" feature in the Disneyland Mobile App. Please know that if you aren't able to update the software before you arrive at the parks there will be a Cast Member at Guest Services who will be happy to help you, too! 

    Once your MagicBand+ is all tuned up there are so many things you can use it for around the Disneyland Resort! My kids love to play Star Wars: Batuu Bounty Hunters, and they get so excited when their bands interact with an attraction or show! We also get very charged up when Spider-Man gives us a little boost before we board WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure!

    MagicBand+ is especially fun during nighttime spectaculars like Wondrous Journeys and World of Color - ONE! These shows are both brand new for the Disney100 Celebration and they are completely gorgeous. I hope you'll have time to enjoy them on your next visit!
