It's great to see you here today at planDisney, Pat! I'm always happy to talk Disney food and the
Disney Dining Plan is one of my favorite ways to make the most out of my trip to Walt Disney World. I'm happy to chat about some of the particulars of booking your dining plan and who in your party can have one.
Dining plans are linked to your
resort hotel room and if you decide to purchase the dining plan, everyone staying in that room with you needs to have the same plan. There isn't a way to have a dining plan for certain people in your room but not everyone. The only exception is children under three, who don't get a dining plan of their own.
Now, this doesn't mean that everyone linked to you in
My Disney Experience needs to have a dining plan. It looks like you're traveling with a large party of people and if you have multiple rooms that are not all under the same reservation, not every room needs to participate in the dining plan. You can still link up in My Disney Experience to make dining reservations together, but only people who are sharing a room with someone using a dining plan need to also have a dining plan themselves!
I hope this answers your question, Pat, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation.
