Hey there, hi there Mike!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney where you're always welcome as can be. I'm sorry to hear that an injury has put a stitch in your plans, but I'm happy to offer some tips that will make your vacation as magical as possible.
Mike, have you heard about
Disability Access Service at Walt Disney World? It sounds like you might be a candidate for this special program that helps Guests who face challenges with traditional attraction queues. I've used this service several times with friends; it's easy to use and provides the necessary peace of mind to those who benefit from it. With Disability Access Service, you'll use the
My Disney Experience Mobile App to reserve return times to experience theme park attractions. Instead of standing in a queue, you and your party will be able to wait in a comfortable setting until your designated return time arrives.
To
register for Disability Access Service, you have two options. You can pre-register via video chat with a Cast Member no less than two days before the start of your vacation or register in person at Guest Relations in a theme park. It looks like your trip is just about here, so if pre-registration isn't feasible, simply make
Guest Relations your first stop upon entering a theme park. The good news is you'll only need to register once for the duration of your visit.
I hope this is helpful, Mike, and that you're able to enjoy your vacation to the fullest. If you find your leg needs a break after walking all the Mickey miles,
wheelchair, and
ECV rentals are conveniently available inside all four theme parks and Disney Springs. And speaking of taking it easy, this will be a great trip to take advantage of Walt Disney World's live entertainment and theater-based attractions. From
The American Adventure in
EPCOT to
Festival of the Lion King at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park,
Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular in
Disney's Hollywood Studios, and
Mickey's PhilharMagic at
Magic Kingdom Park, you'll have plenty of opportunities to sit back, relax, and recover throughout your visit.
Best wishes for an enchanting vacation, Mike. Thanks again for stopping by planDisney, and we'll see ya real soon!
