Hi there, Caroline!
How exciting that your first
runDisney race is right around the corner. A few of my planDisney pals and I will be sliding into our glass slippers for
Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend, and we can't wait. As Tiana would say, we're
almost there!
Before you run all the Mickey miles, there are a few things to do, like attend the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo. It sounds like you've already completed and signed your waiver; your expo check-in pass will be available closer to race day in your runDisney account and will appear alongside the waiver in the documents section of your
runDisney account. I like to print both and bring them to the expo if the digital copy is difficult to access digitally. A notification from runDisney that the check-in pass is ready should arrive via e-mail, but you can also check your account occasionally as the event approaches.
I hope you're excited for your first runDisney event, Caroline! Here are a few last-minute tips that may help as you await race day.
- Be prepared for all kinds of weather! I like to pack a disposable poncho in case it's raining before the race begins while I'm waiting in my starting group. Disposable mylar blankets are helpful in case it's chilly.
- Consider purchasing Memory Maker in advance of your trip. Disney PhotoPass photographers are along the course and at the finish line to capture your big moments.
- If you're wearing a costume, make sure it complies with runDisney's policies, and practice running in it at home to ensure it's comfortable.
- Follow runDisney on Instagram for announcements, pre-race information, and post-race highlights.
Thanks again for sending your question our way, and best wishes for an incredible race experience.
