I'm freaking out! I'll be staying at the AKL 9/10-9/15. I know the only way to get to the parks is via bus, but I ready many reviews that the buses take long b/c they have to stop at the AKL Villas first. Was AKL a bad idea? Am I going to feel isolated?!

Hi Paula! Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is a wonderful Resort and you will have access to the Theme Parks and Downtown Disney via Disney Bus Transportation. The buses will depart from Animal Kingdom Lodge - Jambo House to the designated Theme Park noted on the bus' display screen. It is true that the buses will stop at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge - Kidani Village prior to the stop at your location.  This should not affect your arrival to the Theme Parks, because buses typically arrive every 15 minutes for departure to the Theme Parks. If you travel to Downtown Disney, the bus will arrive at Animal Kingdom Lodge - Jambo House first and then travel to Animal Kingdom Lodge - Kidani Village prior to departing for Downtown Disney.

Disney Bus Transportation is very convenient and provides "front door" drop off to the Theme Parks and Downtown Disney. You will return to where you were dropped off for easy return to the resort.

Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is one of my "Homes" away from home and , as a DVC member, we have truly enjoyed our stays. We love the savannas and the excellent theming found there. I honestly believe that you will enjoy your stay and will want to return again and again. Have a Magical Vacation!
