I'm a food blogger&will be visiting DW with my hubby in Nov '12.I noticed that there are Disney COOKBOOKS that include recipes from the restaurants. Can you recommend a MUST OWN DW cookbook? Do you think I could get chef mickey to sign it? If so, how?

Hi there Katie!  I am a restauranteur and "Disney Foodie" and I absolutely LOVE recreating delicious Disney dishes in my own kitchen.

My favorite Disney cookbook is Cooking with Mickey and the Disney Chefs by Pam Brandon who writes a tasty food column for the DIsney Parks Blog, Taste of Disney.  This beautiful hardcover book is a great resource for delicious Disney recipes and contains dishes from Disney World, Disneyland, and Disney Cruise Line.

Cooking with Mickey and the Disney Chefs is currently available on Amazon.com, but can also be purchased in several shops around the Disney World Resort, including one of my favorites, The Writer's Stop, a bookstore and coffee shop in Hollywood Studios.

Chef Mickey will gladly autograph your cookbook if you have a reservation at Chef Mickey's restaurant located in the Contemporary Resort.  Be sure to have a fat Sharpie marker ready for him, and open the book to the correct page when he stops by your table.  Chef Mickey's is among the more popular Disney dining destinations and reservations can be made in advance starting at 180 days prior to your arrival date.  You can make your advanced reservation ONLINE or by calling (407)WDW-DINE.
