I'm flying into Orlando. Typically use wheelchairs at airports but this time will have a 5 yr old with me so want to be more hands on. Was just told there are no buggies at MCO! Any suggestions on navigating the airport which I recall to be big?

Hi Cristina, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

If you happen to be flying into the Orlando International Airport prior to a Walt Disney World vacation and you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, then I highly recommend booking Disney's Magical Express. This service provides complimentary air-conditioned motorcoach transportation to your Walt Disney World Resort hotel in true Disney style. The best part is you won't have to worry about your checked baggage for any flights arriving between 5 a.m. and 10 p.m. Prior to your trip you will receive a package from Disney containing a luggage tag for each guest on your reservation. Once the tags are placed on your checked luggage, they will be picked up by Disney at the Orlando International Airport and delivered to your hotel room later that day. Now that's what I call Magic!

If you still need assistance with baggage at the airport, luggage carts are available for a nominal fee on Side A and B of the Main Terminal. Luggage carts cannot, however, be taken through security to arrival and departure gates. Therefore, once you pass through the secured area upon arrival at the airport, you should be able to obtain a cart if required.

In addition, Skycaps (or porters) are also available to provide assistance to guests with their luggage. Skycaps can also provide wheelchair assistance for guests. Typically it is customary to tip Skycaps for such services.

The Orlando International Airport provides accessible services throughout the facility for individuals with disabilities. Wheelchair assistance is also available and should be booked through your airline.

Wishing you pleasant and hassle-free travels on your way to your upcoming Disney vacation, Cristina! Should you have any other questions about anything else about your trip, please let us know...we are here to help!
