Hello, Gordon!
Welcome to planDisney. I’m happy to hear you are planning a visit to The Happiest Place on Earth! Thank you for the opportunity to offer some advice.
While it is possible to purchase tickets in person at the Disneyland Resort's main entrance ticket booths, I don’t recommend it. As you are aware, each Guest visiting the theme parks must have both valid park admission and a
theme park reservation. Guests who purchase tickets in person at the Disneyland Resort must still make park reservations from the same pools of spots available for tickets purchased before arrival
online or using the
Disneyland mobile app.
Even though some days appear to have run out of park reservations, please don’t give up hope! Yes, the total number of reservations is limited. But the number of remaining reservations can still vary. For example, other Guests frequently find they need to reschedule their visits. So when they cancel their existing reservations to book new reservations with their tickets, those canceled reservations may become available to you! So please keep checking the
theme park reservation availability calendar. The more frequently you check, the more opportunities you will have to find openings that work for your party.
Tony’s Tip: If you are a Guest of one of the three
Disneyland Resort Hotels, you can take advantage of all of the magical benefits afforded to hotel Guests, including activities, package delivery, early entry to the theme parks with valid admission, and
much more. One of the benefits is access to
theme park reservations exclusively for hotel Guests. When you link your hotel reservation and your theme park tickets to your Disneyland Resort account, you can access the "
My Hotel Reservations" page to follow the link to book from this pool of reservations.
Gordon, I’m thinking happy thoughts and wishing on a star that your family’s dream of visiting the Disneyland Resort comes true. May you have good luck in seeking tickets and reservations and may you have a magical time!
~Tony
