Forrest from FL Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

I'm a Florida resident reserving a single room and paying for park tickets for me and two friends who live out of state. I know their tickets will be more expensive, but how do I keep mine discounted while also keeping us all bundled together? Can I?

Hey there, Forrest, and welcome to planDisney! Before you know it, it will be time for you to run, Forrest, run down Main Street, U.S.A. as you embrace the magic of your visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth! I'm sure you're going to have the most amazing vacation celebrating all the new summer offerings throughout the Walt Disney World Resort!

As a Florida resident, like you mentioned, you are eligible to take advantage of some special discounts on tickets and room rates that may be offered exclusively for Florida residents; my best advice to take advantage of any such discounts when traveling with out-of-state companions would be to book your Disney Resort hotel reservation and Theme Park Tickets separately. When you make a room-only Disney Resort hotel reservation, you will be able to connect your travel party to the reservation as long as they are linked to you in your Family and Friends list in your My Disney Experience account. Once you are all linked to the resort reservation, your travel party will show up as "planning together" in the My Disney Experience mobile app, so you will be able to share plans, book Lightning Lane passes together, and link dining reservations and PhotoPass pictures as well! Best of all, if you make the reservation as a Florida resident, you will be able to take advantage of any special offers for residents that may be offered during your stay!

If you are purchasing Theme Park Tickets for your travel companions, when you do so, you will have the option to assign the ticket to the appropriate person during your transaction. Again, as long as they are linked in your Family and Friends list, you will just click on their name to assign the ticket to them, and you'll all be ready to tap into the magic together! Forrest, I'll also mention that there are currently two ticket offers available that could save your friends some money this summer - the 4-Day, 4-Park Magic Ticket and the 3-Day, 3-Park Magic Ticket are worth taking a look at to see if they might work for your trip!

I hope this helps you to organize your vacation and to take advantage of all the money-saving offers that you can! It's going to be a magical summer, and I'm wishing you and your friends lots of memories together! In the meantime, come on back to planDisney if you have any other questions we can help answer!

    See you real soon,
    Alison
