I'm a Florida resident and my friends from out of town and I would like to plan a Disney trip together, it'll be their first time at the most magical place! If I book multiple rooms can I get them the Florida resident rate?

Hiya, Karissa! Thanks for bringing more questions to us here at planDisney. We love it when Guests come back and ask us all of their Disney vacation planning questions!

One of my favorite things to do at the Walt Disney World Resort is helping first-timers have their best vacation ever! How lucky your friends are to have such a helpful and knowledgeable guide for their first trip. I know they're going to have so many joyous memories to look back on. How do I know? Because you're already doing the research and planning to make it so!

As a Florida resident, you may be able to book multiple rooms with your discount. However, to take advantage of this rate, at least one Florida resident must be staying in each room and will need to show proof of residency at check-in. If they can't, that will likely result in them being charged the full amount for the room. Be sure to check out the Special Offers page to see if there are other discounts for which they can take advantage!

While there will be tons of firsts for your friends, there will likely be some firsts for you as well. Unless you've been to the resort in the past week, the brand-new nighttime spectacular at EPCOT, Luminous the Symphony of Us, just debuted. Plus, many of the walls surrounding construction in World Nature and World Celebration have come down revealing the beautiful landscaping and detailing of these breathtaking areas. And the culmination of it all is the Walt the Dreamer Statue, a tribute to the ultimate dreamer, Walter Elias Disney, looking out on his Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow. It's a must-visit for any Disney fan and I can't wait to visit it for the first time myself.

Karissa, I can tell you're a dreamer too. And that's the best type of Fairy Godparent there is. That's right, you can think of yourself as your friends' Fairy Godparent, leading their way and brightening their lives. And you won't even have to say, "Bibbidi, Bobbidi, Boo!" But, I mean, you can if you want to! I certainly wouldn't blame you or judge you for it.

Even miracles take a little time,
    Matt
