Hi Chloe,
Welcome back to planDisney and thank you for your question! So excited to hear that you’re thinking about bringing your little one to
Magic Kingdom Park, he (and you) will have a blast!
Since you’re planning to purchase a one day ticket for Magic Kingdom, you’ll want to select the specific day you’ll be going as you’re making the ticket purchase. Once you go through checkout, you’ll receive a confirmation code via email and that will help you “link” your ticket in the
My Disney Experience mobile app (more to come below).
MagicBands/MagicBand+ are wearable bracelets that can serve as your ticket, entry to a Disney Resorts Collection hotel room, payment option and so much more. These can be a separate purchase if you’re staying at a Disney Resort or you can purchase them at most merchandise locations. You do not need MagicBand+ for entry, it’s just another way to use technology around the Parks.
Now, what you will need to do is create a
My Disney Experience account and once you receive your confirmation email for your tickets, you’ll want to enter that code into your account via the website or My Disney Experience mobile app. To link it through the app, from the home screen, select the three horizontal lines, then select the “Tickets and Passes” box. From there, you’ll want to select the “+” symbol in the upper right corner and then “Link Tickets & Passes”.
Once you add in your confirmation code here, your tickets will appear in this area. You can then select “Add to Device” to create
Disney MagicMobile Service and download the tickets to your digital wallet. If you’d rather have physical tickets in hand, you can go over to
Guest Relations or any ticket counter at the Ticket and Transportation Center before you head over to Magic Kingdom. I personally like Disney MagicMobile because you can just scan your phone to enter the Theme Park. It’s super convenient!
Final tip: Don't forget your
Disney Park Pass reservation for the day you go to Magic Kingdom. Before you purchase your ticket, confirm that there's theme park availability with this
calendar. This is an important step because at this time you need both a ticket and reservation (for each guest) to enter into the Theme Park.
I know that was a ton of info, but I hope this “Bit By Bryanna” is useful for your upcoming holiday at the Walt Disney World Resort. If you have any other planning or vacation questions in the meantime,
please feel free to reach out, I’m always happy to help!
The Magic Is Calling,
Bryanna
