Hi Cassie! Welcome to planDisney!
I've always thought that being a flight attendant would be such an adventurous job! It sounds like you are living your adventure to the fullest and taking advantage of your layover to explore the Most Magical Place on Earth. I think that is an excellent idea and am happy to help you plan a bit!
First, let's talk about visiting the
Disney Resorts Collection hotels. With the current precautions in place for health and safety, the resorts have been limiting who is allowed into the parking lots. Those with dining reservations can get in, and those with
mobile food & beverage orders on the
My Disney Experience mobile app are also usually allowed to enter (I have heard of a few cases where those with mobile orders were turned away, but usually they have been allowed in). I would recommend at least trying to get a dining reservation or a mobile order placed before visiting the resorts so you can get in, then you can spend a little time exploring while you are there.
Now,
Disney Springs will be no problem since you just need to go through a temperature check before entering. I like to have lunch at one of the delicious Quick-Service locations like
Earl of Sandwich or
Blaze Fast-Fire'd Pizza, with an afternoon snack of poutine from
The Daily Poutine or Mickey-shaped pretzel (yum!). Some shopping locations fill to max capacity later in the day and form lines, so I suggest trying to head to those first.
World of Disney and
M&M'S were the spots I experienced the longest wait times to enter when I was there last week. You will be able to shop and dine the day away there easily!
I hope these suggestions help, Cassie! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
