Hello, I'm going on my first-time Disney Cruise and I have seen that the ship has a wonderful theater. I was wondering if the movies played in the theater are only Disney movies. I want to see Insurgent as it premieres on my sail date. Thanks in advance.

    Ahoy, Maria!

I'm so thrilled to hear you'll be taking your first Disney Cruise this spring! You're in for an amazing vacation, with personalized customer service that's over-the-top awesome. Every guest feels like a VIP when they sail with Disney Cruise Line!

It's true that each Disney ship features a lovely theater - just the right spot to take a break from fun-in-the-sun and take in a movie or two. The Buena Vista Theatre is a plush theatre that screens first-run movies (some in 3-D!) and other popular films. My family likes to take time when we cruise to catch some shows we might have missed in the theater.

Unfortunately, you'll have to wait until you return to port to catch Insurgent on the big screen. As a mom of tween/teen daughters, I know how excited you must be to see the new installment of the Divergent series. (We are too!) The only first-run movies you'll be able to see onboard are Disney films.

Please let us know if you have any more questions before you sail - we're happy to help! Have a magical day! - Diane W.
