Hi from rainy PA. I bet you can't wait to arrive Orlando in a few weeks.
I understand wanting to archive every shot that you’ve taken. I love photographs. (It’s kind of been ingrained in me since an early age as both of my parents retired from Kodak.)
To make sure there is no mishaps, we take extra memory cards with us. Once we are back at the hotel, my husband transfers our photos to the hard drive on our laptop and then further burns them on to a CD. When we get home, he organizes and deletes as necessary.
You are in luck!
The camera centers at the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios have the capability to burn your photos to CD. This will help keep your photos secure and your memory card clear. (This is an excellent service that wasn’t available until 2005.) You may need to leave your memory card and pick it up later in the day.
There are also self-service Kodak Picture Maker kiosks in all 4 theme parks. You can only download 120 images per CD at a cost of approximately $13 (prices subject to change). After that, you need to purchase another CD, even if the first CD will hold more pictures. This would get expensive if you like to snap lots of pictures. You may want to shop sales for another memory card or a photo storage device.
What the CD burning service at the camera shops has going for it…is convenience. Please see this link to
