Hello, I’m going for the first time soon with my bff. We are staying at the All Stars Movies and are on a budget. Can we use the microwave from the food court to heat up bread in the morning? Can we rent one? We intend to eat at disney, just not EVERY meal

Hello, Daniela! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks for stopping by to see us with your question. Let's help you make the most of your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

It's so smart of you to be thinking of ways to have fun at Walt Disney World without busting the budget. My family lives within driving distance, and one of the ways we save is to pack lots of food in our car and load up the refrigerator in our Resort hotel room. We tend to bring items that don't need to be heated up, but if you're hankering for a hot meal, a trip to the food court will do the trick! You can absolutely use the microwaves and toasters in the Intermission Food Court right there at Disney's All-Star Movies Resort to warm up your morning meal. Disney doesn't have microwaves available for rent, although if you wanted to upgrade to a family suite, you would have a microwave in the room.

Daniela, did you know that Disney allows you to bring your own food and drinks into the Theme Parks? It's another great way to save a little money on vacation! There are a few restrictions, like glass containers or alcoholic beverages, but some snacks and a bottle of water can keep you going on a busy Park day without costing anything. Plus, you can always ask for free cups of ice water from any quick-service dining spot. And saving a little during the day can help you splurge on an extra-special meal later!

I hope this helps you plan a fabulous, budget-friendly Walt Disney World visit, Daniela. Please come see us again if you have any more questions!

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
