Hi there, Allison! Many congratulations on your new little bundle of joy! Visiting the Disneyland Resort with your child is truly a magical and rewarding experience. Plus, if you are considering celebrating your little one's first birthday at the parks, you are sure to make some treasured memories.
With so many exciting offerings throughout the year at the Disneyland Resort, it has proven to be a popular destination all year round. However, my best tips for the lowest crowds are to avoid any major holidays and to try to visit during the week and as early in the mornings as you are able. Since your child will be turning one in September and you would like to see the
Halloween decorations, then I think a trip around late September or early October would be perfect! The weather may still be rather warm, but should be manageable and the autumn and Halloween decorations should be completely up by mid-September. Halloween decorations tend to be removed to make way for Holiday decorations almost immediately after Halloween.
For some special magic for your soon-to-be 1-year-old, make a dinner reservation and have a
specially-made cake delivered to your table. You might want to order one for the child to smash and one for the adults to enjoy! Then, for the perfect souvenir, purchase your child's first set of Mickey ears and have them embroidered. I can just imagine the adorable pictures of your child enjoying their first birthday cake in their cute little Mickey ears!
I hope your trip to the Disneyland Resort is full of magic and memories!
