Ahoy there, Matthew, and welcome back to planDisney!
It sounds like you’re looking to hitch a ride with Jack Sparrow and his crew on your upcoming voyage aboard the Disney Fantasy (a brilliant idea, I might add). Well, you’re in luck because on Night 2, after your day in Zeebrugge, you’re going to be partying like a pirate! Unfortunately, I don’t see any fireworks scheduled for this itinerary, but have no fear, you’ll find plenty of pirate festivities to entice and enchant you whilst onboard.
In addition to your favorite pirate garb, I wanted to share this
packing checklist to ensure you have everything you need for your Belgium cruise. As a
first-time cruiser, it’s important to keep some things with you in a carry-on bag on embarkation day, such as
travel documents, government identification, and medications. Although you can start having fun the second you step on the ship, your stateroom isn’t typically ready until about 13:30. It may be a bit longer until your checked baggage is delivered right to your door, so I also like to pack my swimsuit, sunglasses, and sunscreen in my carry-on as well.
One final tip before I let you go: I also bring one reusable, insulated cup for each member of my travel party. You will find cups provided at the complimentary beverage stations on the pool deck, but they run a little small for my liking, so this allows me to spend more time soaking up the sun and watching Funnel Vision while making fewer trips to the soda machine. (I’ve also been known to make an ice cream float with the complimentary soft serve located just around the riverbend from the drink station.)
If you don’t want to bring a reusable mug or cup from home, you’ll likely find some cute ones available for purchase at the concessions stand outside of the Walt Disney Theatre. If you do stop to pick one up, you might as well purchase one of the popcorn buckets on Night 1 because then you can enjoy refills at a great price for the remainder of your trip.
I could go on and on about how excited I am for your very first Disney Cruise, Matthew, but for now, I’ll simply wish you a magical voyage and invite you to visit us again at
planDisney should you have any further questions. We’re always happy to help!
Cheers!
