Ahoy, Leah, and welcome back to planDisney! Getting ready for your first trip across Big Blue on
Disney Cruise Line? Dude, that's totally awesome!
There is so much waiting for you on board the
Disney Wonder that will have you saying, "Whoa! That was so cool!" Have you heard about
rotational dining? Your dining team goes with you each night to the main dining rooms, including a very royal evening at
Triton's; some spicy jazz and smooth treats at
Tiana's Place; and paddling around the Eastern Australian Current at
Animator's Palate.
Do you know what else totally rocks? Following this cruise, you will become a
Castaway Club member. On future sailings,
you will be able to book activities like
Port Adventures and
onboard activities earlier than first-time cruisers, based on the number of cruises you have taken. Another benefit of being a Castaway Club member is onboard gifts, which change from time-to-time, but usually include a lanyard for your Key to the World Card.
If you would like the convenience of a lanyard, I suggest bringing your own with you on your first cruise. Another option is
DisneyBand+, a new feature on the Disney Wonder. If you have a MagicBand+ from a previous visit to Walt Disney World or Disneyland, you can use these as a DisneyBand+ on board. If not, you can purchase a DisneyBand+ online around 45 days before your cruise. You should also be able to find these in the stores on the ship, like
Mickey's Mainsail. I used DisneyBand+ on a recent cruise and loved it! It's waterproof, so I could enjoy the pools and Twist 'n' Spout without having to take it off and keep up with it. I put it on my wrist and my noggin' could leave any worries behind.
I am so excited for your first Disney Cruise! First you'll be all like "whoa", and we will be like "whoa", and you will be like "whoa..."
Please swim back by
planDisney with any other questions. We'll give you some fin.
Just keep swimming!
